Many of our corporate supporters use team building days as a volunteering opportunity, this is a great way to give something back to your local community.
Helping with a project at Seashell Trust is a very cost effective team building exercise. The projects are achievable tasks which can unite team members and have a positive effect on the moral, motivation and confidence of your employees. Your colleagues will not only have a great time, they'll get something out of it, as will Seashell Trust.
We have a wide variety of projects which you can contribute to, they include;
- Decorating classrooms, residential common areas and classrooms.
- Gardening activities in our Sensory Garden; bulb planting, renovation work, painting woodwork.
- Small building projects; a sandpit or a play area.
- Classroom support; working on projects with the students, such as making 3D cards or working on a specific sports, art, drama or drama project.
- Befriending a student: This relationship is particularly important to residential students who will benefit greatly from having an independent visitor.
- CADS – Children’s Able and Disabled Sport programme which runs throughout the year.
- Fundraising events; from bag packing at a local supermarket to car park attendants we are always looking for volunteers to help at our fundraising events!
Many of the corporate volunteer schemes we offer last one or two days.
Our corporate volunteering projects make a real difference to the environment our students live in.
