Each year we host one of the most prestigious Charity Balls in Manchester to raise funds for the important work we do for the profoundly disabled children and young people in our care.  The event brings together friends and supporters from the region to showcase our achievements and raise essential funds for our future.

On Saturday 19th May, our Summer Ball will be held at the luxurious 5* Lowry Hotel in Manchester. Not only is this an elegant award-winning venue, it also holds historical connections dating back to 1823 when the original Deaf School was founded just a short distance away.

The Ball, sponsored by PZ Cussons, will have a stunning Bollywood theme with colourful entertainment and decoration. Following a sparkling drinks reception with views over the Riverside Bridge Piazza, you will be escorted to the Grand Ballroom for a three-course dinner with wine. Highly acclaimed entertainer Paul Sleem will guarantee that you have a wonderful time at the Ball; his ability to inspire guests and ensure that everyone feels personally involved in the evening is the reason we invite him back each year. In addition we also have an excellent raffle and auction with some money-can’t-buy items on offer! Later on you will have the opportunity to spend time on the casino tables or the dance floor before the evening comes to a close.
