There are lots of great ways to fundraise for Seashell Trust – most of which you can do from the comfort of your own home!
Organise Your Own Event
Our supporters time and time again come up with some weird and wonderful fundraising ideas to raise money for Seashell Trust by organising their own events!
If you have a great idea, want to try something new or are up for a challenge why not consider organising a fundraising event for Seashell Trust. It really is a rewarding experience; any money you raise goes directly to improving and enhancing the lives of the children, young people and adults in our care.
Home Collection Boxes
“Watch the pennies and the pounds will watch themselves."
This old adage is extremely relevant when it comes to a simple way of fundraising. It’s surprising how all the loose change you find lying around adds up... and if it’s lying around doing nothing it might just as well be put to good use!
So why not collect your spare coins in one of our home collection boxes? All you need to do is order your Home Collection Box from the fundraisng team here at the Seashell Trust on 0161 610 0170 or fundraising@seashelltrust.org.uk, empty it when it's full, and send us a cheque for the amount collected. We will write back to acknowledge your donation and send you a new box.
Please make cheques payable to the Seashell Trust and send them to Fundraising Department, Seashell Trust, Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, SK8 6RQ
Your change can change lives!
Business Collection Boxes
If you have a few hours to spare you might like to consider helping us by distributing our Business Collection Boxes to shops and businesses in your local area. .
Last year we raised over £1,000 through Business Collection Boxes but we need volunteers to help collect and replace them. It’s very straight forward and it raises both vital funds and our charity profile in the wider community.
We will provide you with official ID, you will not have to handle any cash yourself and all we ask is just a couple of hours of your time each month.
Mobile Phone Collection
We are collecting disused mobile phones to recycle and raise funds. It does not matter how old your phone is, or even if it works – we can still raise funds from it.
The working components of the phones we collect are re-used, mostly in third-world countries, or safely recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. SHP, the company who manages this, makes a donation to the Seashell Trust for each phone collected regardless of its age or working condition.
This is a very simple way to support the Seashell Trust so have a look in your drawers and cupboards at home for any old phones. We will provide you with a freepost envelope to send the phone(s) to us. Simple, easy and free - so what are you waiting for, send the Seashell Trust your old mobile phones now!
Mission Fish
If you are a regular on eBay and often sell things why not consider donating a percentage of your earnings to Seashell Trust. You are rewarded by eBay for your generosity with special eBay Giving Works features that help you to get more bids and higher selling prices. So it’s win – win!
A great way to help support the Seashell Trust is to volunteer here. Donating your time is as valuable to us as donating your pennies!
