Making a Difference

Here are some of the unique ways your fundraising can have a real impact at Seashell Trust.

£10 enables us to produce a book of pictures and symbols to help a student communicate.

£15 provides art and craft materials for one of the nine residential units on site for leisure-time activities in the evenings and holidays.

£50 gives a student the multi-sensory experience of an aromatherapy session. Smell is a great way to communicate with a student who is both deaf and blind.

£100 is a new bubble tube for one of our Sensory Rooms. We have two Sensory Rooms at Seashell Trust which are used by our multi-sensory impaired students for relaxation, education, stimulation and motivation.

£250 runs a music workshop for students either in class or in a residential unit.

£500 purchases a personal computer for the students in one of the residential units.

£1,500 would allow one of our students to have their own custom-made bike, specially adapted to fit their particular needs. Ad our students have such unique and complex needs they can only ride a bike which has been made specifically for them.

£2,500 would buy a five a day Children’s Adventure Farm Holiday for some of our residential students. Thus is a great way for our students to mix with other young people who have disabilities and take part in activities off site.

If you would like further information about any of these Wish List items, or to find out how you can help the Seashell Trust raise money for other worthwhile projects, please contact Fundraising on  0161 610 0168 or fundraising@seashelltrust.org.uk.
