Arley Hall Christmas Shopping Proves Spectacular
Shoppers enjoyed a real treat of retail therapy recently at the annual Arley Hall Christmas Spectacular. Visitors were spoilt for choice by a fabulous array of offerings from fresh local produce to beautiful hand made gifts.
One of the most popular stalls was an exhibition of artwork by Seashell Trust students. The pieces were all done by students at Royal College Manchester under the guidance of art teacher Christine Dentith.
Helen Clayton, Fundraising Officer at Seashell Trust said, ‘It was wonderful to be able to show off our students’ incredible talent and we were delighted that we even sold a few pieces for the charity. We are so grateful to the Arley Hall committee for choosing to help us raise awareness of the very important work we do here.’
Elly Lees-Jones was delighted at the success of the event, commenting, ‘This year’s event was definitely spectacular! The local school choirs singing carols, the beautiful stalls and the delicious treats in the kitchen made it all feel so special.’
Tony Snape, Seashell Trust Chairman added, ‘I was amazed at the size of the event and everyone was full of good cheer. We are truly grateful to all for their support and I’d urge anyone to put next year’s date of 12th and 13th November in the diary now so they don’t miss out.’
