Armaghan's Story

Armaghan is a calm and happy person now, and he smiles more. It’s the environment they provide, not just in college but in the residential houses. It’s an amazing place.

Hajeera,
Armaghan's mum

Armaghan graduated from Royal College Manchester in 2023. Benefiting from the routine and structure, Armaghan thrived in his college residential placement with us. He was able to explore his keen interest in art, and was given opportunities to explore this further, exhibiting and selling his creations in numerous outlets, including at an art gallery in Manchester.

His mum Hajeera said: “We wanted to give him structure to his day and night routine, which could only be provided in a residential placement.

“As his parents we wanted him to be able to go out and do his job, so he has something to do and has a quality to his life.”

Using the skills, knowledge and behaviours he learnt during his time at Seashell, he took on several work placements. In the video below you can hear about his experience with wholesale supplier Laltex, who have been a Seashell supporter for many years. Thanks to his hard work and determination during his work experience, Armaghan secured a paid position upon leaving college.

Gill from Laltex Group said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Seashell, and we already have two students in paid employment.

“Armaghan really does excel in his work and fits in with the team, and due to this we have offered him paid employment next year (2025).”

Now, Armaghan is a calm, happy, young adult who is able to focus on tasks, and his attention to detail has been praised by his employers. Watch the video below to hear more.
