
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chris Smale, who has stepped down from Chair of the Board at Seashell after five years.
Chris first joined the Board in 2017, serving as Chair of Governors for Royal School and Royal College Manchester. Chris will remain on the School Governors board to remain involved with Seashell, and we look forward to continuing to work with Chris.

We would also like to welcome Martin Heath as our new Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Dr Lynn Perry as our Vice Chair.

It is a huge privilege to assume the role of Chair and I look forward to continuing to work closely with our excellent Board, strong leadership team, and wider community to help deliver our ambitious plans for the future. Lynn has been involved with Seashell since 2012, bringing expertise from her career in education, school improvement, safeguarding, and leadership across the North West. Her passion for creating the very best opportunities for children and young people has shaped her work on the Royal School Manchester Governing Body and the Trust’s Safeguarding Board.
“I am delighted to take on the role of Vice Chair at Seashell, and continue working alongside such dedicated colleagues who care deeply about improving the lives of children and young people with the most complex needs.”
