Type: Maternity Cover (12 months contract - fixed term)

Salary: £22,318 - £24,798 per annum + benefits

About Seashell Trust
Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The trust consists of the Royal School Manchester (RSM), Royal College Manchester (RCM), 17 residential homes, outreach, and health & family services. Based on one site, we provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment, communication disorders and autism.

We are proud to have dedicated teams of healthcare professionals based on site to support the children and young people in our school, college and residential settings with their individual ECHPs, and are excited to be recruiting a Newly Qualified Physiotherapist to work within our friendly and supportive Ofsted & CQC registered multi-disciplinary health team.
Requirements:
· A passion & interest in supporting children and young people with varying and complex needs
· Registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with the HCPC (or soon to achieve)
· Recognised Physiotherapist degree qualification or equivalent (or soon to achieve)
· Some experience of working with children and / or young people with profound and complex learning disabilities and physical disabilities
· An understanding of the communication needs of people with exceptional complex disabilities including deafness, MSI and autism
· Ability to deliver, implement and evaluate physiotherapy programmes with guidance from an existing experienced team
· Ability to work part of a multi-disciplinary team
The successful candidate will be supported to deliver high quality physiotherapy sessions to a caseload of children and young people across our ‘Outstanding’ rated School and College. You will be working alongside experienced Physiotherapists and support with clinical governance agendas and assist in the development and maintenance across the service. The successful candidate will be be supported to achieve this with regular supervisions and guidance from our experienced and friendly team.
