FTE salary (based on 52 weeks, 37.5 hours): £24,345-£27,050 per annum

At Seashell Trust, you’ll be part of a nationally recognised charity providing integrated education, care, and health services for individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments, and neuro-disabilities.
As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and supporting our Outstanding-rated, CQC-registered health service. You’ll work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure our students are safe, happy, and achieving the best possible outcomes.
As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll:
- Deliver prescribed care and delegable nursing procedures (e.g. PEG feeding, buccal midazolam, insulin pens)
- Monitor health needs including BP, fluid charts, and bowel monitoring
- Administer medication in line with Seashell policies and individual care plans
- Respond to emergencies and assist with clinical decision-making
- Provide emotional and psychological support to students and families
- Liaise with families, education and residential staff, and external professionals
- Support training and competency checks for staff across the Trust
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to audits and service development
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
- First Aid and medication administration training
- Experience working with children/young people with complex needs
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and person-centred care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Manual handling and health & safety awareness
