Role Summary
As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative support to the PBS team, helping to ensure individuals with complex needs receive the right support at the right time. You’ll assist with the organisation and upkeep of behaviour support plans and related documents, making sure everything is accurate and up to date.
You’ll also help coordinate observations and support sessions, and play a part in sharing PBS strategies with staff teams whether that’s through scheduling, note-taking, or helping with resources. It’s a varied role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will make a real difference
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update behaviour support plans and related documentation
- Support the organisation of observations, meetings, and training sessions
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of PBS resources and materials
- Help monitor and track progress using data and reports
- Provide general admin support to the PBS team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements
- GCSEs (A–C) in English and Maths or equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2)
- Confident with IT and able to use Microsoft Office and digital systems effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Organised and able to prioritise day-to-day tasks independently
- A team player with a positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Commitment to completing BILD/RRN-approved PBS Instructor training (provided by Seashell)
- Willing to complete Debrief training (provided by Seashell)
