Seashell Trust is a national charity supporting children and young people with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and additional communication needs. Based in Cheadle Hulme, we provide education, care, therapy, and outreach services, and are undergoing an exciting campus transformation, including a new college build.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our highly skilled, multi-disciplinary Health Team. You’ll work in a CQC-registered department alongside Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Audiologists, Nurses, and Assistive Technologists, all working together to deliver outstanding, person-centred support.
About the Role
As a Occupational Therapist, you’ll:
- Deliver OT to children and young people with complex physical, learning, and sensory needs
- Develop personalised, meaningful interventions focused on independence, life skills, and daily living
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across Health, Education, and Care
- Contribute to early assessment and intervention service development
- Provide clinical support and supervision to other therapists (under guidance of the OT Lead)
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with students and their families throughout their Seashell journey
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (BSc/MSc)
- HCPC registration and BAOT membership
- Experience working with children/young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities
- Sensory Integration Therapy experience (preferred)
- Clinical supervision or service development experience (desirable)
- A collaborative, proactive, and reflective practitioner with a commitment to positive outcomes
