We are currently seeking a passionate and personable department Assistant Director to lead our diligent Estates, Building and Facilities team at our Cheadle Hulme campus.
The team you would lead has always played an important role in achieving Seashell’s vision.
Our campus continues to develop and deliver, and Seashell is looking to enhance and grow its Estates and Facilities team.
Our ideal Assistant of Estates and Facilities, will be someone with the confidence to take up this role who shares our values and vision, can drive our strategy forward, and develop, support and create a growing team to support a fantastic new campus development.

Trust provides expert guidance and support to individuals in need.
Based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, the Trust consists of the Royal School
Manchester (RSM), Royal College Manchester (RCM), outreach health and family
services and residential homes which provide a safe and supporting environment.
Our state of the art facilities, including gardens, forest school, swimming pools, hydro pools, bike track and sports fields make Seashell truly unique.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide strategic advice, guidance and leadership on all aspects of Seashell’s Estates and Facilities
- Developing and implementation of a new Estates and Accommodation strategy
- Being an inspirational and supportive leader and an active member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) delivering the next phase of our campus development

Our site is continuously growing and developing, we’re currently undergoing works to build a brand-new Royal College Manchester, so the demands of our site are ever changing, with a lot of external contractors on site.
We’re looking for someone to be a Seashell Ambassador who is able to demonstrate a real passion for our charity, and be committed to ensuring the continuous development of our site to support the children and young people in our care.
What you’ll need for the role:
- Significant experience in leading teams and delivering an exciting Estates, Building and Accommodation strategy
- The ability to manage high performing Estates and Facilities teams through strategic and operational excellence
- Experience developing functional and professional teams by adding to and developing their combined skills and knowledge
- Developing and delivering key strategies and projects of a similar nature across
- To be a natural leader with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, previously working as an effective part of a senior leadership team
- Leads by example and can demonstrate and share professional knowledge and skills
- Able to demonstrate a real passion for charity and able to work in a regulated environment.
