Are you ready to lead, support and inspire as a specialist in sensory education?
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Specialist Multi-Sensory Impairment Teacher (MSI Teacher) / MQ Tutor to join our expanding external services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference while delivering high-quality teaching, assesments, and training to those who support children and young people (0–25) with multisensory impairments (MSI).
You’ll deliver remote and online training sessions to cohorts of qualified teachers that are working with children and young adults with MSI nationally. Seashell Trust is one of two providers within the UK providing this specialist qualification, which runs over two years.
This outward-facing role also includes helping us grow and promote our external services locally, regionally, and nationally. This role requires some travel, and occasional weekend work due to course workshops.
Due to the course content, our successful candidate will hold a specialist qualification in MSI/VI/HI and have previously worked across both school and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored educational programmes and advice to learners across home, school, and college settings.
- Carry out individual specialist assessments (including Deafblind Guidance) and contribute to EHCP assessments and reports.
- Provide engaging and informative training sessions to professionals and parents.
- Champion and promote Seashell Trust’s external services through outreach, networking, and awareness campaigns.
What We’re Looking For
- QTS/QTLS
- Post Graduate Diploma in Multisensory Impairment (PGDip Mandatory Teaching Qualification in MSI (Deafblindness) Specialist MSI qualification
- Experienced MSI teacher with proven experience supporting learners with multisensory impairments.
- Confident communicator with experience delivering assessments and training.
- Flexible and proactive approach with a commitment to high-quality, person-centred support.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across various settings.
