Our Outstanding Royal College Manchester, part of Seashell Trust, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our specialist team supporting young people with complex SEND. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll empower learners, shape meaningful progress, and work collaboratively within a strong multi-disciplinary environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading a designated class group and supporting their educational, physical, and personal development
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred teaching using bespoke strategies for students with complex SEND
- Managing and tracking individual learning programmes aligned to EHCP outcomes
- Working closely with LSAs, therapists, residential staff, and external professionals
- Building constructive relationships with parents and carers
- Taking responsibility for a curriculum area based on your interests and expertise
- Contributing to consistent, high-quality teaching and college-wide improvement
- Line managing up to two Level 3 Learning Support Assistants
What We’re Looking For
- Experience planning and delivering engaging, person-centred learning (TEACCH, MSI, PCP or similar)
- Ability to assess and record progress in line with the RARPA framework
- Commitment to CPD, curriculum development and reflective practice
- Strong safeguarding awareness, aligned with key legislation and Seashell policies
- Innovative thinking and willingness to contribute to ongoing research and best practice
