Our College Prom is a highlight of the calendar year, celebrating our wonderful leavers and ending the year in style. We aim to give our students the same opportunities and experiences as those in mainstream schools – and prom is no exception!
Parents were invited to see their young person off in the college courtyard, where they could take photos and create lasting memories. Everyone looked absolutely fabulous and had gone to so much effort to dress in their best, including beautiful makeup, hairstyles, and new suits.
Students spent the afternoon decorating some of the Seashell vehicles for the prom attendees, and we had a number of luxury and classic cards kindly loaned to us by Together Money, Bentley Manchester, and our President Ged Mason for a truly showstopping entrance!
Once students arrived at the Hilton Doubletree, they had their portrait taken against a beautiful backdrop before partying the night away to tunes by DJ Callum, who returned for the fourth year in a row.
Tasty food and refreshments were provided and after dinner student Sam took to the stage to give a speech welcoming everyone to the prom. Royal College Manchester Co-Principal Katherine Watson then addressed the room. She said: “Thank you to all of our students here tonight. We can see so much progress and it’s such a fabulous night. I’d like to say a big thank you to our staff team for being here and supporting students the way that you do. It’s such a special time.”
