As part of a new project funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund, Seashell and University College London (UCL) are collaborating on a series of knowledge‑exchange activities, including reciprocal guest lectures designed to deepen expertise across the field.
Recently, Caireen, the Programme Lead of our Mandatory Qualification in Multi‑Sensory Impairment Post Graduate Diploma (MQ MSI PGDip) delivered a guest lecture exploring the low-incidence nature of sensory impairment and what this means for practitioners.
She shared: “In this guest lecture we examined and discussed the low‑incidence nature of sensory impairment and the implications this has on assessment, identification, diagnosis and specialist support for young people with sensory impairment.”
