On 9 June, staff an students wore orange for International Batten Disease Awareness Day!
Batten disease is a group of rare genetic disorders of the nervous system. It is a progressive and terminal disease with no cure, however there are therapies available to manage symptoms.
Every year, the Batten community aims to spread awareness of the disease, in the hope to gain more funding for medical research.
For International Batten Disease Awareness Day, staff and students from our Royal School Manchester were proudly wearing the colour orange and decorating lots of orange treats to take around the classrooms.
