We had great fun at Seashell’s Sights and Sounds Festival today!
The event returned for 2025 and included singing, dancing, transfer tattoos, mocktails, wristbands, smell challenges, art creation, free food and drink, and lots of things to taste, feel, see, hear and do.
We especially want to thank Matt’s Mobile Fish and Chips for donating all the free food to celebrate National Fish & Chip Day! And thanks also to The Garden Club for supplying the amazing nightclub. And of course Studio 63 Productions for some fab singing!
It was important our festival was inclusive so there was something for everyone and students had a big say in shaping the event.
Deputy Care Manager Ryan Peacock said: “We did the festival last year and it was a great success so we wanted to make it bigger and better this year.
“We wanted the festival to be as inclusive as possible and create and inclusive space for our children and young adults to enjoy, to celebrate difference and for them to be included in the festival itself.
“One of our young people designed some wristbands for people to wear, while other students said they wanted mocktails and ice cream at the event, so we organised those.
“It’s been great fun and another successful year. Hopefully it’ll be even bigger in 2026!”
