We are delighted the Ged Mason Building – the new home for Royal College Manchester – is really coming together now.

A huge part in the wider Transformation Project to update Seashell’s site, this latest build is on target for completion by the end of this year (2025).

And in 2026 we hope students will be moving in, enjoying all the new facilities the building has to offer. Included is a huge climbing wall, with hoist and additions to suit our multi-sensory impairment (MSI) students as well as wheelchair users. There will also be classrooms tailored to the individual college pathways, a sports hall, gym and sensory rooms and a welcoming and warm reception and cafe area.

But the best way to understand this revolutionary new building is to experience it for yourself. Which is why we’ve put together this tour of the site!
