Claire joined the Royal School Governing Board in March 2025, bringing over 27 years of experience to her role as a governor.

She most recently served as Assistant Director of Operations for the North at the National Autistic Society. Claire oversees a range of innovative services across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland which meet the needs of adults with Autism. Claire’s extensive career has spanned numerous leadership roles, including Area Manager for both the North and Central regions, where she was responsible for over 50 adult services.

Claire’s qualifications reflect her commitment to excellence, with a BA (Hons) in Sociology, Postgraduate Certifications in Autism and Asperger Syndrome, and a range of advanced management credentials, including CMS and CMI Level 7 course.

As a Programme Lead for rolling out modern care support systems, Claire has driven innovations in service delivery, ensuring the adoption of evidence-based approaches and digital tools. Her dedication to fostering lifelong care solutions and promoting inclusive communities has been a hallmark of her career.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys keeping fit by running and walking. As a Stockport resident for many years, Claire is aware of Seashell being part of her community and the fabulous support they provide. Claire is very much looking forward to the opportunity to work with the trust through its transformational journey.
