Dr Michael Josephson MBE is a charity campaigner, successful businessman and mental health awareness advocate who has dedicated himself to supporting young, underprivileged people. He has raised millions of pounds for charities that support young people, his last ball in Manchester alone raised a staggering £1,204,488, beating last year’s record-breaking £1,063,872, which was the first million-pound charity gala in the North West.

In 2016 Michael was awarded an MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to charity. In July 2024 he was made an Honorary Doctor of Social Science for his outstanding contribution to charitable work from the University of Bolton, becoming Dr Michael Josephson MBE.

Michael has been a dedicated Seashell Ambassador for many years, demonstrating unwavering support. His contributions have been significant, including generous donations towards the construction of The Moulding Foundation Building, The Ged Mason Building and the acquisition of a vital minibus through his successful fundraising charity ball. Furthermore, Michael has leveraged his connections with organisations like Variety the Children’s Charity to secure additional minibuses, and he has consistently utilised his extensive network to facilitate valuable introductions and partnerships that benefit Seashell.
