Ged joined the Royal School Manchester Governing Body in January 2021.
With a background in Children’s Services, Ged has worked with a number of local authorities in Greater Manchester since 1997. Ged’s range of roles include a Frontline Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer and Head of Safeguarding and Improvement. Ged was one of the first Local Authority Designated Officers in the area and worked with a range of agencies to develop safer recruitment. He is currently working as a Child Protection Chair.
Ged is married to Claire and celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary in 2024. They have three grown-up sons and two rescue dogs.
