Rachel joined the Board of Directors in February 2022.
Rachel trained as registered general nurse in the late 1980s in Manchester. Rachel has continued to work in healthcare ever since, both in the NHS and charity sector. For the last 20 years Rachel has experience in leading and managing numerous diverse teams and complex organisations. She has demonstrated effective leadership and managerial skills in developing a successful workforce, striving to ensure goals and outcomes are met to a high standard. Rachel is an experienced executive director in healthcare with the majority of that time being in a palliative and end of life care setting.
Rachel is currently the Chief Executive at St Ann’s Hospice where she has worked at an executive level since 2012. Rachel’s special interests are; leadership and innovation in healthcare, she is passionate about people, staff support and development, enhancing and improving equity in health and social care.
Rachel achieved her degree in Practitioner Leadership at Manchester Metropolitan University and has completed an MSc in Leadership Practice and Responsibility at Lancaster University Business School
