Meet Tom
Tom is a student at Seashell and loves cycling.
Seashell hosts an annual Sportive, which raises around £30,000 for the charity. The event was cancelled in 2020 because of the risks of COVID-19, so Seashell re-named the event to Bikefest, taking the event online and encouraging cyclists of all abilities, staff and supporters alike to join in the fun.
Tom took on a huge challenge to cycle 1.6km per day for 30 days – the equivalent of the 50km Sportive route. Tom completed his cycle challenge on the Seashell campus, where he is also a resident.
Whilst Tom loves his bike, this was a huge challenge for him.
