Brewin Dolphin, one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms, has signed up as the headline sponsor of the 2021 Seashell Sportive, now known as the Brewin Dolphin Seashell Sportive.

Taking place on Sunday 19 September, the organised cycling event will start and finish at the charity’s campus in Cheadle Hulme.

Now in its fifth year, after a hiatus due to the pandemic, this event has a choice of four routes – an entry level 50km short route for families and beginners, a 75km medium route, a more challenging 100km of climbing and a leg-busting 170km. The ride takes in the very best scenery Cheshire, the Peak District and Staffordshire have to offer.

Run entirely by volunteers, every penny raised from the event goes directly to supporting the work of Seashell.

Seashell Head of Fundraising, Dominic Tinner, said, “As a company which is committed to the communities in which it operates we are delighted to welcome Brewin Dolphin on board.

Their sponsorship helps us deliver a top quality experience for everyone taking part and really helps us to maximise our fundraising efforts in what has been a particularly difficult year.”

Brewin Dolphin Investment Manager, Bradley Russell, said: “With a shared history in greater Manchester and Cheshire dating back almost 200 years, Seashell and Brewin Dolphin are two names which have stood the test of time in the North West and the similarities don’t end there.

Committed to bettering our communities and working with the great and good of the region, we already share so much with this wonderful charity – with many of our clients being supporters, trustees and indeed service users.

The Brewin Dolphin Seashell Sportive gives us a great opportunity to work alongside the charity in promoting the wonderful work that they do, raising much-needed funds, whilst also encouraging both our staff and clients to get in the saddle and pedal alongside hundreds of others in this well respected event. We hope this is the start of a wonderful partnership between our two organisations.”
