In 2023, Seashell Trust is celebrating 200 years of providing care, guidance and support to individuals in need. After hitting this charity milestone, it’s only right that we celebrate our bicentenary in style!
The history of Seashell goes back to June 1823 when eight girls and six boys were given places at the school for deaf children funded by public subscriptions. Within four years, demand grew, requiring a purpose-built school to be built. Fast-forward 196 years and Seashell now houses dozens of individuals, helping them through their education and daily life.
