A Practical Introduction to Makaton

Whether you have a professional interest, care for someone who has limited speech or work for an organisation that strives to be more inclusive of those with disabilities, our 5-day course will provide a comprehensive introduction to Makaton. No prior knowledge is necessary.

The Makaton Level 3 and 4 training course follows on from the successful completion of Levels 1 and 2 (previously known as the Foundation Level). You will have the opportunity to revise signs and symbols from stages 1-4 of the Core Vocabulary and move on to learn and practice using signs and symbols from stages 5-8.

The 4-day course is delivered by Makaton Tutors who are part of Seashell’s Speech and Language Therapy Outreach Team.

The cost includes all tuition, Level 3 and 4 manuals and certificates of attendance from The Makaton Charity.
