Jo joined the Board of Directors in October 2022.  Jo is a committed public servant with over 20 years’ experience in local government having worked in local authorities across Greater Manchester, most recently in Stockport where she managed Neighbourhood Inclusion services.  In this role she was the council lead developing infrastructure to support Stockport’s voluntary and community organisations, designing, implementing and delivering the Stockport Council’s community investment fund.  Alongside this Jo developed more inclusive approaches to service delivery in the borough’s priority neighbourhoods, including embedding support for low income families as part of the pandemic response.

In 2021, Jo joined Greater Manchester Combined Authority as Digital Policy Lead where she is responsible for developing the digital ecosystem and building a more diverse and inclusive digital talent pool.

As a parent of a child with Special Education Needs Jo has personal experience of Seashell and is passionate about improving experiences for children with special needs and their families.  Jo is also a Governor at Pure College.
