Anietie joined the Royal School Manchester Governing Body in July 2022, having worked as a lecturer both at further and higher education levels for eight years teaching computer science and related subjects in various institutions.

Anietie’s personal background is interdisciplinary, crossing paths between computer science, education and psychology.  Having completed his doctorate in E-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning, he continues to explore using various research contexts about how technology can help permeate the ever-widening gap of equity, access and justice within learning environments. This involves re-thinking how the curriculum is formulated, executed and managed; and also snowballing towards the setup of learning environments, learner behaviour, needs and ability in relation to their desires, goals and the curriculum.

Currently, as a day job, he is an IT Business Consultant within the FinTech/Insurance space. Using the power of data, his emphasis is on how he can provide equity in access and affordability of various financial products using various technologies. Some of his works include but are not limited to ensuring that more brokers get empowered with more lines of funding to cater for their clients. Ensuring that more cover types are available to support individuals and businesses get covered against any loss that may occur. More recently, he has contributed to ensuring that there is a platform that empowers people to only pay for insurance when they use it.

As part of his volunteering activities, he also works with various education charities to help support young people get into employment, education and training. This involves using a mixture of training, work experience and career/training events.
