MSI (Deafblind)

Assessment of sensory needs by a suitably qualified person in Deafblindness and provision of a report including recommendations.

We can deliver an education and health care programme to children and young adults (0-25) with complex needs / multi-sensory impairment.  We will work alongside the young person’s social care/health staff team for the required number of hours per week to meet the requirements of their EHCP. This is delivered by a range of different specialists either in the young person’s home or in another suitable setting within the North West region.

On receipt of the referral form the team will request EHCP paperwork and complete an initial assessment to determine need and recommended levels of support. The package will then be costed, and a contract drawn up for the commissioning provider/local authority to sign and a start date agreed.

If you have children and young adults who are currently educated other than at school / college (EOTAS) who require specialist teaching and therapeutic support please do not hesitate to contact us at outreach@seashell.org.uk
